I think I'm addicted. This is not a good thing.
What a cool little feature to look at random blogs from around the world. Oh, if you're not familiar with the "next blog" button on blogger.com it's just a button that takes you to a random blog. A little too fun if you ask me.
Blogs are an interesting phenomena. People blabber about some mundane things or gush over private family moments like they were talking to their best friend...and they are...and also to the rest of the world. This includes me now too, I guess.
So while I was wandering through the endless sea of blogdom I found this woman's review of a show that aired in Europe. It's called "Lost in Austen". I don't know, maybe everyone's heard of this miniseries except me because I don't watch much tv. It aired September 2008. It's like a modern portrayal of Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice except it's still set back in that time period. A modern girl from England get's sent back in Elizabeth Bennett's place. I found the full episodes online. Pretty good. For those of you who love the BBC miniseries, you'll love this one. There's a couple of references in the show I could have done without but also a couple of good ones, like how far we've come as a people from the morals society held back then (i.e. sex before marriage). Overall I enjoyed watching it. There's only 4 episodes, about 45 min long.
So that show totally came up on our instant Netflix and I started watching it because I LOVE Jane Austen, but that main girl was a little too weird for me (with some weird references like you said)... I only got to the part where she wakes up in their house and meets the family.
