Pardon me, dishes and laundry. I have more important things to do...like follow behind a naughty boy and clean up after him.

Mother's Day

I finally got around to getting all the pictures on the computer from Mother's Day. These drawings are posters the girls made in primary at church. This is Candace's. It cracks me up.

I love how she thinks my hobby is feeding babies! Hahaha! That's what she sees me do all day. I'm sure the conversation with her teacher went something like this.

Sis. Bingham, "Candace, what does your mom like to do for fun?"
Candace, "I don't know"
Sis. Bingham, "Well, what does she do a lot?"
Candace, "She feeds the baby all the time."

But THE BEST part is My mom likes to...do the laundry. I hate laundry so much. It's so funny to see how she views her little world, and particularly how she views me and what we do all day. The other sections just warm my heart.

I love my mom because...She's beautiful
My mom's favorite flower...Pink ones
My mom's favorite food...Enchiladas
My mom has taught me...To do nice things
My favorite thing to do with my mom...Play games

That was probably the best Mother's Day gift ever!

Meagan's poster was a little message she wrote to me.

"Dear Mom, I love you. You are so swet. Happgy Muthrs' Day"

I love kindergarten phonetic spelling.

This little concoction is what Justin and the girls put together for me the month before. None of them wanted to wait a whole month to give it to me. In hindsight, it was probably because they wanted to eat all my candy.

"Dear m(o)m's, We are starburst-ing with almond joy to have a lifesaver like you around. Your jolly rancher snickers are as cute as a kit(ty)kat. It's the t-babyruth that you are worth milky way more than 100 grand to us!! We love you!"

Meagan's Art Gallery

Meagan's school has a really good art teacher. She brought home all her creations today since their last day is tomorrow.

My personal favorite is the fish bowl (the one with the blue ribbon. It says "very interesting"). She titled it "Rainbow Flower" for some reason. I think it's because of the bows above the bowl.

The Color Wheel

Woven strips of textured/colored paper

The Clown

Happy Hands Holding Flowers
They are construction paper hands with knuckles and nails drawn on. Haha

Meagan's Family
I don't see a family in there but I do see a butterfly, a girl, a cactus and a couple of flowers. She might have misunderstood the assignment. ;)

Cowgirl Meagan
I thought it was pretty good. I just love her pants and boots.

The Gale Tiger
Their school mascot. I particularly love the square jaw and claws.

The Obligatory House, Flowers, Trees and Playground Equipment
We've all drawn it, don't deny it. I can just imagine her meticulously drawing all the little monkey bars for an hour or so, making sure everything is just right. What a cutie.

Meagan will be displaying her pieces in Jen's Blog for a limited time. Get your tickets to the show through TicketMasters before this collection is gone.
